What is Dungeons & Dragons
Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) is a tabletop role-playing game in which players create a story together. One player becomes the Dungeon Master (DM) — the narrator and game facilitator, while the others play characters, make decisions and interact with the world. Dice determine the outcomes of actions, and imagination is the only limit.
D&D Hadera means regular meetups at Portal to the World of Games where we run both short one-shot sessions and long multi-session campaigns.
How Our Games Work
Every Tuesday a group gathers at Portal to the World of Games for D&D sessions. The DM prepares a scenario in advance; players either create characters on the spot or bring them ready. At the table we are united by the story — intrigue, adventure, humour and puzzles. A session typically lasts around 3–4 hours.
Do I Need Experience
Not at all. Our Dungeon Master adapts the game to the group's skill level. For newcomers we run introductory sessions covering the mechanics and character creation. Experienced players will find more challenging scenarios and passionate partners.
About the Dungeon Master
The DM is the game facilitator who creates the story and runs the world. They describe the environment, control NPCs, set challenges and keep track of the rules. At our club the DM is an experienced person who will make everyone feel comfortable at the table.
Formats: Campaigns and One-shots
Campaigns are multi-session stories that unfold over several evenings. Characters grow and develop, tension builds and the narrative deepens. This format suits those who want a fully immersive experience.
One-shots are self-contained stories completed in a single evening. Perfect for those who want to try Dungeons & Dragons without long-term commitments. Also great as an introduction to Dungeons and Dragons Israel style of play.
Come join us — we welcome both total beginners and seasoned role-players!
